Say unto the king, and to the queen— That is, to Joachin and his mother, who were carried captives into Babylon at the first coming of Nebuchadnezzar. See 2 Kings 24:15. Others suppose that Zedekiah and his mother are addressed. We may read the latter clause, For the crown of your glory is fallen, or shall fall from your heads.
