The word, &c.— We have here a new discourse of Jeremiah. The Lord commands him to go down to a certain potter, where he would cause him to hear his word. God frequently makes use of this comparison of a potter, to point out man's absolute dependence upon him. See Psalms 2:9. Isaiah 45:9. Romans 9:21.
