Said I not unto thee, &c.— Either Jesus had said more to Martha than is recorded, or possibly these words may be collected from the message which Jesus sent, John 11:4 and from what he said, John 11:25-26.; but we are not to suppose that in these histories we have an account of every word that was spoken.
