And no hands stayed on her— Nor were hands weakened in her. Sodom was destroyed by a sudden act of God which the prophet thinks preferable to lingering and wasting with disease and want, as was the case in Jerusalem during the long siege.

Lamentations 4:6

6 For the punishment of the iniquitya of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her.
