Ye shall dwell in the land in safety— Hebrew, boldly, without fear. For the original word בטח betach, says Dr. Beaumont, signifies both the confidence or boldness which men, who trust in God, and walk in his ways, have within themselves; and that safety and secure estate wherein God settleth them from danger of evil.
