Luke 1:48 - Coke's Commentary on the Holy Bible

Bible Comments

For he hath regarded— 'Επεβλεψεν; "he hath looked with a distinguishing regard, and wonderful condescension. Though I am a person in the lowest station, and had not the least reason to expect that any thing extraordinary should arise from me; yet God hath put such honour on my condition, as to make me the instrument of bringing into the world the Messiah, the desire of all nations; for which reason all generations shall esteem me peculiarly happy."

Luke 1:48
