But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

So do the Papists, who yet worship devils, while they worship idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, Revelation 9:20. The devil is ειδωλοχαρης, saith Synesius, an idol lover.
