1 Peter 2:20 - John Trapp Complete Commentary

Bible Comments

For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

Ver. 20. For what glory is it] In peace offerings there might be oil mixed, not so in sin offerings. In our sufferings for Christ there is joy; not so when we suffer for our faults.

1 Peter 2:20
