And fell at his feet, and said, Upon me, my lord, [upon] me [let this] iniquity [be]: and let thine handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thine audience, and hear the words of thine handmaid.
Ver. 24. Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity be,] i.e., Wreak thy wrath on me, if thou canst find in thine heart; but first hear my defence, and then do thy pleasure.
