Though Daniel heard nothing of his prayers for three weeks' time, yet was the angel at work all that while for the removal of impediments. Daniel in the meanwhile wrought hard with God, as it is elsewhere said of Jonathan. 1Sa 14:45
And I am come for thy word.] Brought hither by thy prayers. God will come, but he will have his people's prayers lead him into the field as it were.
