But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
Ver. 9. Kill him,] i.e., Deliver him up to the magistrate to be killed; for he bears not the sword in vain, like St Paul in a glass window, or George on a signpost.
