For this commandment which I command thee this day, it [is] not hidden from thee, neither [is] it far off.

For this commandment.] This word of faith, Rom 10:8 that teacheth the righteousness of faith, Rom 10:6 and speaketh on this wise, the doctrine of salvation by faith that works by love, this is clearly enough revealed in both Testaments, so that none can reasonably plead ignorance, and think to be excused by it.
