The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, [even] us, who [are] all of us here alive this day.
Ver. 3. With our fathers,] i.e., With our fathers only. Or if it be understood of all the foregoing patriarchs, then it is to be expounded by Galatians 3:17 .
