But the children of Israel walked upon dry [land] in the midst of the sea; and the waters [were] a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

Ver. 29. But the children of Israel walked upon dry land.] This is applied as a type of Christ, 1Co 10:2 to show that Christ is present with his people, to save them in all troubles and afflictions, Isa 43:2 and from all their spiritual enemies and sins, both by justification and sanctification, Mic 7:19 through faith in him, Heb 11:29 and will in the end give them songs of victory and triumph. Exo 15:1-27 : 1Ki 15:3
