Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.

Ver. 9. Now let them put away their whoredom.] So shall all be well between us. See Jer 3:1 Isaiah 1:18. See Trapp on " Jer 3:1 " See Trapp on " Isa 1:18 " Piscator; Ictus sapiat. Some read it, Now they will put away, &c.; and so they did, after the captivity, but will not be yet drawn to worship the true God aright. The Lord persuade their hearts thereto. Fiat, Fiat! Do it, Do it!

And the carcases.] See on Ezekiel 43:7 .

And I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.] This is the same with that in Matthew 28:20, "I am with you to the end of the world."
