Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
Ver. 7. Them which have the rule] Gr. ηγουμενοι, your captains, your guides (so ministers are called), your chieftains and champions, that bear the brunt of the battle, the heat of the day, and upon whom, as upon his white horses, the Lord Christ rideth about conquering and to conquer,Revelation 6:2 .
Considering the end] Gr. αναθεωρουντες, reconsidering, perusing it over and over, and passing into the likeness of so holy a pattern.
