For the day of the LORD of hosts [shall be] upon every [one that is] proud and lofty, and upon every [one that is] lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
Ver. 12. For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud.] These he "knoweth afar off"; Psa 138:6 these he "resisteth" as it were in battle array; Jam 4:6 these he "casteth down to the ground."
