Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works [are] works of iniquity, and the act of violence [is] in their hands.
Ver. 6. Their webs shall not become garments.] "Garments" quasi gardments; one use of them being to guard our bodies from the injury of wind and weather. Wicked devices and false doctrines profit not those that are therein occupied. as Heb 13:9 In the day of God's wrath, they will prove but as a coat of cobweb.
Their works are works of iniquity.] Here ministers may learn roundly to reprove the sins of the people.
