Of judgment, because the prince, &c.] Satan is, by the mighty work of the Holy Ghost, cast out of his trenches, forts, cages, castles, heaven of men's hearts, οχυρωματα, 2 Corinthians 10:4; corruption is dejected, though not utterly ejected, Luke 10:18; "The Spirit lusteth against the flesh." So that as we cannot do what good we would, because of the flesh; so neither what evil we would, because of the Spirit.
