But as the mixed multitude came out of Egypt with Israel for a better fortune, and as he, Matthew 20:13; "agreed for a penny;" as the harlot looks to the love tokens more than to the donor; so was it here. Worldlings, Ubi non vident quaestum, rident Christum: Ubi datur ut edant, adduci possunt, ut credant: they serve not the Lord Jesus Christ, but their own bellies.
