Ver. 40. Which seeth the Son and believeth] This these Jews did not, John 6:36. Some slight knowledge of Christ they had; but it amounted not to a saving faith. And I will raise him up] This is four different times repeated, that we may rest secure of it, and be comforted. Fiducia Christianorum resurrectio mortuorum, the faith of the Christians is by the ressurection of the dead, saith Tertullian.
