And indeed few sins are more dangerous than that of picking quarrels at God's word, taking up weapons against it, and snuffing at it, Malachi 1:13; replying against it, Romans 9:19,20; casting reproaches upon it, Jeremiah 20:8,9; enviously swelling at it, Acts 13:45; gathering odious consequences from it, Romans 3:8 : such are in the ready road to apostasy, and so to perdition, Hebrews 10:39 .
