They have wandered [as] blind [men] in the streets, they have polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.

The sense, in short, is this, saith one, that the Jews, misled by their prophets and priests, were so blind in knowledge that every example of sin led to evil, which, for want of grace, they could not refrain from.
