And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

And appeared unto many] Not to converse again, as heretofore, with men, but to accompany Christ, that raised them, into heaven; and to be as so many visible demonstrations of Christ's quickening power, whereby he shall also raise our vile bodies, and conform them to his glorious body, the standard, Philippians 3:21 .
