He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

Ver. 23. He that rebuketh a man shall find, &c.] He that binds a madman, or rouseth up one in a lethargy, hath but little thank for present; so here. In the sweating sickness, they that were kept awake escaped; but the sickness was deadly to them that were suffered to sleep. Let us keep one another awake, saith a reverend man, a - an unpleasing work on both sides, but we shall one day thank such.
