Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present. Such as we are in word - A threatening of this kind would doubtless alarm the false apostle; and it is very likely that he did not await the apostle's coming, as he would not be willing to try the fate of Elymas.
