And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening. To judge the people - To hear and determine controversies between man and man, and to give them instruction in things appertaining to God.
From the morning unto the evening - Moses was obliged to sit all day, and the people were continually coming and going.
