Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. Sinful men - Or heathens, ανθρωπων ἁμαρτωλων, i.e. the Romans, by whom only he could be put to death; for the Jews themselves acknowledged that this power was now vested in the hands of the Roman governor alone.
