But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, Have ye not read - This quotation is taken from Exodus 3:6, Exodus 3:16; and as the five books of Moses were the only part of Scripture which the Sadducees acknowledged as Divine, our Lord, by confuting them from those books, proved the second part of his assertion, "Ye are ignorant of those very scriptures which ye profess to hold sacred."
