Psalms 38:1 - Clarke's commentary and critical notes on the Bible

Bible Comments

A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. O Lord, rebuke me not - He was sensible that he was suffering under the displeasure of God; and he prays that the chastisement may be in mercy, and not in judgment.

Psalms 38:1

1 O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
