Elkanah ... said ... only the Lord establish his word х 'et (H854) dªbaarow (H1697)] - his matter or thing; namely, the business concerning the child involved in thy vow.
So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him. This might be after he had attained his third year (see the note at Genesis 21:8).
