We walk - in our Christian course on earth.
By faith, х dia (G1223) pisteoos (G4102)] - in a medium or state of faith.
Not by sight, х dia (G1223) eidous (G1491)] - 'not by appearance.' Our life is pervaded by faith in our immortal hope: not by the specious appearance of present things (Tittmann) (cf. Septuagint, Numbers 12:8). 2 Corinthians 4:18 confirms the English version (cf. Romans 8:24; 1 Corinthians 13:12-13). God has appointed in this life faith for our great duty; and in the next, vision for our reward (South) (1 Peter 1:8).
