And when there was an assault made. The word х hormee (G3730)] properly signifies 'a rush,' 'onset,' or any impetuous movement. But here it can scarcely mean so much, since they had time to consider what to do, and actually escaped it. Probably it denotes some organized movement with a view to set upon them.
