And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple - observing the stated forms of Jewish worship,

And breaking bread from house to house, х kat' (G2596) oikon (G3624)] - rather (as in margin) 'at home,' or, better still, in 'private house,' or 'privately;' in contrast with the publicity of the Jewish services, yet no doubt at some stated place or places of meeting.

Did eat their meat with gladness, х en (G1722) agalliasei (G20)] - 'with an exultant feeling.'

And singleness of heart - their new views of Jesus, and of God in Him, opening up springs of thought and feeling which absorbed every other: compare Ecclesiastes 9:7, "Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works."
