Which before was preached unto you, х ton (G3588) prokekeerugmenon (G4296) humin (G5213) Ieesoun Christon]. This reading has hardly any support, (only a few cursive manuscripts.) The true reading, as all the best and most ancient manuscripts ('Aleph (') A B C D E and a host of others, with Chrysostom, though the Vulgate and Origen have the received reading), and all critical editors agree, is, 'He shall send you the foreordained' or 'predestined Messiah, Jesus' [ton pokecheirismenon humin Christon Ieesoun].
