Another saint said unto that certain saint. Daniel did not know the names of these two holy angels, but saw only that one was speaking to the other.

And the transgression of desolation - literally, making desolate - i:e., Antiochus' desolating profanation of the temple (Daniel 11:31, "They shall place the abomination that maketh desolate;" Daniel 12:11).
