Thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof, х pa`ªmotaayw (H6471)] - feet of acacia wood, two on each side, on which the ark was supported, so that the body of the sacred coffer, while it never touched, would rest firmly on, the ground. The length of these feet is not given, but it would be proportionate to the size of the chest; and the rings, being attached to the top of these feet, would raise the ark aloft, and render it more conspicuous when carried.
