It appears from the paintings that the Egyptian officers kept an account of the quantity of grain stored in the magazines, because at the side of the windows of one of them there are figures indicating the amount deposited in that storehouse (Rosellini, vol. 2: p. 234; Hengstenberg, 'Egypt and Books of Moses,' pp. 34, 35),
