Which - sacrifices.

Stood, х epi (G1909) broomasin (G1033)] - consisted in (Alford); or have attached to them only what appertains to the use of foods, etc. The latter go side by side with the sacrifices (Tholuck) (cf. Colossians 2:16).

Drinks (Leviticus 10:9; Leviticus 11:4).

And carnal ordinances. 'Aleph (') A, Syriac and Coptic, omit "and" х dikaiomata (G1345), for kai (G2532) dikaiomasi of C]. "Ordinances" stand in apposition to "sacrifices," Hebrews 9:9. Carnal (affecting only the flesh) is opposed to spiritual. Contrast "flesh" with "conscience," Hebrews 9:13-14. Imposed - as a burden (Acts 15:10; Acts 15:28) continually pressing heavy.

Until the time of reformation, х kairou (G2540) diorthooseoos (G1357] - 'the season of rectification,' when the reality should supersede the type (Hebrews 8:8-12: cf. "better," Hebrews 9:23).
