And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

The glory of Jacob shall be made thin - the kingdom of Ephraim, and all that they rely on (Hosea 12:2; Micah 1:5).

The fatness of his flesh shall wax lean - (note, Isaiah 10:16.)
