Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

The prophets - especially persecuted, therefore especially 'blessed.'

Example of suffering affliction, х kakopatheias (G2552)] - 'of evil treatment.'

Patience, х makrothumias (G3115)] - 'long-suffering.'
