And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
Thanksgivings - the Hebrew word х towdaah (H8426)] includes confession as well as praise; for in the case of God the highest praises we can bestow are only confessing what God really is (Bengel) (Jeremiah 17:26; Jeremiah 31:12-13; Jeremiah 33:11; Isaiah 35:10; Isaiah 51:11).
