Job 33:13 - Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible

Bible Comments

Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.

Why dost thou strive against him? (Isaiah 45:9.)

His matters - ways; literally, words. The Hebrew idiom uses "word" х dªbaar (H1697)] for "things." Our part is, not to "strive" with God, but to submit. To believe it is right because He does it, not because we see all the reasons for His doing it.

Job 33:13
