And blessed is she that believed: for х hoti (G3754)] there shall be a performance of those of things which were told her from the Lord - or, rather perhaps (as in margin) "Blessed is she that believed that there shall be a performance," etc. But the word will bear either sense. This is an additional benediction on the Virgin for her implicit faith, in tacit and delicate contrast with her own husband.
