It is given - `as a favour' х echaristhe (G2169)] or 'gift of grace.' Faith is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8), not worked in the soul by the will of man, but by the Holy Spirit (John 1:12-13).

'To believe on Him' х eis (G1519) auton (G846) pisteuein (G4100)] is to believe in, and trust through, Him to obtain eternal salvation. Suffering for Christ is not only not a mark of God's anger, but a gift of His grace.
