The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
The Lord hath sworn in truth (2 Samuel 7:28 ) unto David. To doubt after such an oath would be to blasphemously insult God (Psalms 89:3-4; Psalms 89:35-36).
