Psalms 73:5 - Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible

Bible Comments

They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

They are not in trouble (as other) men - Hebrew, 'They are not in the trouble of (other) mortals' (Hebrew, 'ªnowsh (H582)); poor, dying man in his frailty.

Neither are they plagued like other men - Hebrew, Adam: the whole human race. A strange anomaly, that the wicked, the very persons to whom the rule, "Man that is born of woman is full of trouble" (Job 14:1), ought to be applied with greatest severity, should be apparently the only exception to it.

Psalms 73:5
