Genesis 35:3 - Joseph Benson’s Commentary on the Old and New Testaments

Bible Comments

Who answered me in the day of my distress He considers God's gracious promise then made to him, and the assurance of his favour toward him, and care of him, impressed by God upon his mind, as an answer to his prayers, although he had then seen no success, nor any accomplishment of God's word to him.

Genesis 35:3

3 And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.
