Jeremiah 2:30 - Ellicott's Commentary On The Whole Bible

Bible Comments

Your own sword hath devoured your prophets. — So in the long reign of Manasseh, the prophets who rebuked him had to do so at the risk of their lives. Jeremiah 2:30

30 In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.
