Deceit. — Rather, oppression, or violence.

Streets. — Rather, squares, the open space at the

gate of an Oriental city where public business was conducted. It is a miserable picture of mis-government; in the very seat of justice is nothing but oppression and guile.

11 Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
